Just when you thought winter was over, the East and West are getting pummeled by late
winter storms. Why is this particularly great for the Sharpest among you? Sale Season. That’s right, guys, you may think winter’s still around, but panicky retailers are pricing everything way down low in an effort to empty their shelves. Remember those snowshoes you wanted? How about that snowboard you salivated over? Chances are it’s been marked down just in time for this weekend’s fresh powder. Check out the Sharp on-and offline deals your SharpMan Editors have found:
Snowshoes. Part hiking, part cross-country skiing, these shoe "extensions" allow you to walk on fresh powder without sinking in. Cabela’s newest sale catalogue features a nice selection of Faber and Freetrail snowshoes (not available online) that are lightweight, durable and affordable at year-end closeout prices from $59-89, a savings of $40 to $60 respectively. If you’ve thought about buying a pair of snowshoes, don’t wait ‘til the prices go back up next fall; use some of that tax refund cash to have fun while winter’s still around! Cabela’s catalogue sales available at (800) 237-4444.
Camping Gear for Two. Thinking about a romantic winter getaway? Is she? The Sportsman’s Guide catalogue currently features a 2-Person Sleeping Bag ("Van Bag") packed with eight pounds of Triloft Insulation, in blue or gray. You can’t beat the romance of double-bagging it, for those SharpWomen so inclined. Half-priced at $49.97, and available through The Sportsman’s Guide catalogue, (800) 888-3006. Also available online.
Snowboards. Can’t get enough? Have had enough of your ratty old board? Check out Sports Chalet/ The Sports Authority’s clearance center (on the right, midway down the home page) for late-winter deals on Lamar and Oxygen boards. Sale prices range from $239 to $254, for a savings of $160 to $170! Check them out.
Now go to it!
